I was grateful to have a small group today considering all three of my assistants were elsewhere!
Today's message and task were pretty simple.
We continued with our summer theme of "respect" and focused on how we need to respect authority.
What or who is authority?
Teachers and principals
Coaches
Your friends parents
Police
Fireman
...to name a few.
give orders and require obedience from others. Not just kids.
Because we feel fortunate to live in cities like Eagan, we decided to say thank you to our police department for keeping our streets and neighborhoods safe.
We also decided that the only people who don't really like the police are the ones who are breaking the law, right?
What better way to show our appreciation than with cupcakes and cookies!
We also made a colorful SuperGirls style poster and individual cards.
Don't worry, this one was eaten, not given away! |
My boys were lucky enough to be able to deliver our treats to the Police Department.
When we arrived, they called out Sargent Collins who was happy to accept everything and
he even put out a picture and a shout out to the SuperGirls on their Twitter page!
Only three weeks left of SuperGirls so I hope everyone can make it!
Until next time...
